The Samudra Project

For the Skills Heroes practice class, we were asked to create a logo for a company that gathers teenagers to clean the ocean of trash during the summer. "Samudra" means ocean in Sanskrit.

For my design, I wanted to create an exotic, beachy vibe (like with the small drawings and handwritten font) to appeal to teenagers in particular. I combined this with vintage fonts and colors to add a nostalgic feel and make it less modern. I placed the letters of "Samudra" at different heights in the logo to make it look more organic. Since the name comes from Sanskrit, I added the Hindu symbol for water as an icon in the logo.
